Vernon Johnson signs a free agent contract with Detroit Lions. Leads three JAGS into pro football camps.

The 2012 version of the JAGS have continued to shine.  Three players from our American Conference Championship team have signed contracts with professional football teams.  Vernon Johnson who was a first team All Conference player in 2012 transferred to Texas A & M Commerce.  At Commerce he was named All Conference his junior and senior year as well as All American his senior season.  He was recently signed with the Detroit Lions to a free agent contract.

WR Bryant Mitchell from Mt. Miguel HS signed with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.  Defensive back Rashard Greene was signed to a mini camp roster with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
