Southwestern Baseball Earns 3C2A SoCal Regional Bid
CHULA VISTA, CA – Following a roller coaster regular season, Southwestern Baseball (20-19) sweated out a 2026 3C2A Baseball SoCal Regional at-large bid on selection Sunday.
The annual expectation is for Southwestern to make the post season, but taking the next step is to win when the Jags get there. The Jags have the confidence to compete and play at a high level. As long as Southwestern plays clean defense, pitches effectively, and has timely hitting – the team can make a push in the post season. The Jaguars were sky high to begin the season with an 8-game win streak and a #7 ranking in the CCCBCA Home Run 30 Rankings. Then the Jaguars went from an undefeated hot start to a 10-game losing streak and teetered around .500 the remainder of the regular season. Ultimately, Southwestern was able to overcome a bumpy injury riddled two and half month span to rekindle their post season aspirations.

A 48-team post conference competition format includes 24 teams from Northern California and 24 teams from Southern California.
