Women’s Soccer Sets Sight on Miramar
CHULA VISTA, CA – The No. 17 Southwestern Jaguars women's soccer team (13-2-4, 11-2-2) has its sight set on Miramar. The race for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference regular season title will be on the line next Tuesday as the conference wraps up regular season play.
The Southwestern women's soccer team has positioned itself well with just one game to play. The Jags will face San Diego Miramar (11-4-4, 9-2-3) on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at Hourglass Field Community Park, formerly an auxiliary landing field for NAS Miramar. Southwestern looks to extend its 7-game unbeaten streak on the road after squeaking by Imperial Valley (Nov. 7), 1-0.
First Regular Season Meeting (Oct. 10)
Southwestern decisively beat and shut out Miramar during their first meeting of the regular season, 3-0 with the game played at DeVore Stadium. #7 Karli Howard found the back of the net on the two occasions and #25 Rebeca Perez added a third goal. As a team Southwestern fired 17 shots (11 on goal).
