Bio

Assistant Coach Bill Stewart attended Southwestern College and San Diego State University Class of 2001 and majored in Psychology. He was a former Jaguar’s boys tennis player who played In 1997 & 1998 and was the teams Captain both seasons.

His coaching experience started in 1998  to 2000 as an assistant tennis instructor at Folsom Tennis Academy under Bill Foley. He also coached from 2002 -2005 Assistant tennis instructor at Helix Tennis Club under Bill Heatcoat. He has coached from 2021 until  present day as an assistant instructor at Break Point Tennis Academy under Fernando Mendez (@ Eastlake H.S).

He coached at the high school level starting in 2008 until 2015 when he was the Head varsity girls & boys tennis coach at Southwest H.S. Then continued from 2017 to present day coaching High Tech High Chula Vista. Where he is also the Assistant Athletic Director/Asset Grant Program Assistant/DarkroomPhotography.

He has also been Assistant/lead to ball kids for The San Diego Open Professional tennis tournament from 2021 until present day.

Some of his life experience, Worked in Chula Vista, California at Southwestern College for 14 years as the Women Basketball Lead Assistant Coach. Then became the interim head varsity Girls basketball coach at Eastlake high school, before move on to Southwest High School as the head varsity girls’ basketball coach for 6 years and continue as the varsity girls’ basketball coach at High Tech High Chula Vista for 5 years.
