Men’s Water Polo Heads to Clairemont Mesa for Big Splash

CHULA VISTA, CA – The Southwestern men's water polo team (12-11, 2-1) is currently third in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference standings with two conference road matches remaining. 

The Jaguars will head to Mesa (16-8, 3-0) on Oct. 22 and Grossmont (10-8, 1-1) on Oct. 29.  It will be the first and only regular season conference matchups between the teams.  Wins for Southwestern would elevate the Jaguars to the top of the standings in preparation for the conference tournament.

Through 23 matches Sebastian Cadena has netted 71 goals to lead the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference and is 8th overall in the state of California.  Blake Wilson has found the back of the cage 56 times and is 4th in the PCAC, 19th in the state as well as 2nd in conference with 41 assists to lead the Jags.   

 

Jake Garcia, Atticus Naranjo, and William Leon have all started games between the pipes combining for 123 saves.
