No. 9 Ranked Southwestern suffocates Mt. San Jacinto 31-10
CHULA VISTA, CA – A perfect record after week 4 of the 2025 season warrants attention on its own, but Southwestern's (4-0) meteoric rise goes deeper than final scores. There is a standard of approach and performance that exists within this football program. The Jaguars have shown the ability to achieve competitive success and perform week after week, especially when the match up is intensified.
Per the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings, "We keep talking about it but can't say enough about the start for Southwestern College in Southern California. The Jaguars are now 4-0 after beating Mt. San Jacinto College, 31-10, over the weekend. Southwestern rose to No. 18 in the rankings this week and continues to turn heads."
The Jaguars are one of three National Division teams in the Southern California Football Association that are unbeaten. Southwestern is atop the eight member Southern League standings and it is not by luck. This team is for real.
Conducted by the JC Athletic Bureau, the California Community College Football Coaches have Southwestern ranked #6 in the state and justifiably so.
Yet, despite proving the naysayers and sports rating and forecast systems wrong the past four Saturday's, the Jags continue to be undervalued. Week 5 can be a statement game for the Southwestern Jaguars that symbolizes program supremacy.
Southwestern will travel to Clairemont Mesa play their highly anticipated fifth game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 6:00 PM.
