Men & Women Track Make Regional Statement at PCAC Championships: 20 Qualify for SoCal

The Jaguars Track & Field program delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) Championships, with the women's team finishing third overall and the men's team securing fourth place. 

Even more notably, 20 Jaguars have qualified for the SoCal Regional Championships—showcasing the program's remarkable depth and progress.


Women's Team Highlights (3rd Place Overall)

The women's team excelled across every event group, demonstrating both balance and strength. 

Sophia Norgen led the charge, claiming a conference title in the shot put and recording a personal best of 25.26m in the discus.

Freshman standout Korina Luna delivered one of the meet's top performances, running a personal best of 1:00.06 in the 400 meters (3rd place) and anchoring both relay teams.

In distance, Natalie Chavarria placed fourth in the 10,000 meters, and Isabella Santana scored in both the 5K and 10K.

The throws squad piled up points, led by Donna Lopez-Landers and Ariana Enriquez, each scoring in multiple events.

Both women's relays finished on the podium, powered by Ashleigh Perriatt, Analia Martinez, Korina Luna, and Camila Mendoza:

4x100 Relay – 3rd Place, 4x400 Relay – 3rd Place


Men's Team Highlights (4th Place Overall)

The men's team displayed depth in sprints, jumps, and relays, earning a solid fourth-place finish.

Michael Boone placed 5th in the 100 meters with a personal best of 10.70 and contributed to both relay teams.

Both relay squads added valuable points:

The 4x100 meter relay team (Gio, Jordan, Jake, and Mike) finished 4th.

The 4x400 meter relay team (Daunte, Alejandro, Mike, and Jake) also claimed 4th place.

In the field, Jacob Shaw delivered a season-best leap of 6.78m to place third in the long jump.

Freshman Christian Griggs added critical points with a third-place finish in the high jump.


With 20 athletes advancing to SoCal, multiple podium finishes, and numerous personal and season-best performances, the Southwestern Jaguars are gaining momentum at the perfect time. The team is to take on the region's best, aiming to continue their success at the next level.
