Carla Zarbo
Title: Assistant Coach

My name is Carla Zarbo and I am the assistant coach for Southwestern College's Women's Tennis team. Although
I grew up in the Philippines and picked up tennis abroad at the age of 12, I consider Chula Vista as my home. I received my
diploma from Chula Vista High School. I graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology
and a minor in Biology.

I am currently the girls' head coach at Olympian High School. I love tennis which is why I still participate and support
local tennis tournaments. My goal for the Lady Jaguars is to assist in promoting an atmosphere of excellence in
academics and sports. Billie Jean King summarized it well when she said, "This is why we love sports. It’s in the way they
play, free from the pressures and all the money talk. Playing for simply the love of the game. Where everyone has a shot
of their definition of success on and off the field. This is what we love about sports, in what we can still love about college sports."

I am excited to be part of this team. Go JAGUARS!!
