Allan Paranada
Title: Assistant Coach/Recruiter

In 2018, Allan Paranada enters his first season as an assistant coach/recruiter to head coach Janet Eleazar. Having coached youth football, many of the same players for 8+ years, from 1st grade to 8th grade, he witnessed first-hand the improvements made by his players year after year which he attributes to his emphasis of teaching proper technique and stressing the importance of continuous repetitions of certain drills to improve each players skill level. Many of his previous players have excelled at the high school level and many are expected to continue to compete in college. Allan has applied this same approach to coaching basketball as he has had the opportunity to coach both boys and girls, of different ages and at varying levels of competition. His coaching experience ranges from helping beginning youth players in community recreation leagues and basketball camps all the way up to and assisting high level AAU teams in leagues and tournaments.

Overall, Allan has 20+ years of coaching experience including being a volunteer coach for Janet Eleazar’s varsity girls basketball program at Eastlake High School from 2005-2007, which includes two back-to-back CIF appearances and one CIF championship. He also led his Otay Ranch Broncos youth football teams to back-to-back “Q” Bowl (Championship) appearances in 2011 and 2012, respectively. In March of 2018, Allan led his all girls basketball team, the Camarena Robo Griffins, to an undefeated season, which cumulated with the first championship banner in school history, in any sport.
