Ken Wilmesherr is a former player at Southwestern College and received his AA degree graduating with Honors. He received his BA in Social Science from Chapman University in Orange County, CA graduating Cum Laude and Honors of Distinction in his area of study. Ken returns to coach our OL along with assistant Eric Burhop. Coach has developed a number of All-American, All-State selections and All-Conference offensive linemen. Numerous offensive linemen he has tutored over the years have received scholarships to continue their football career at four year universities. Over the course of his coaching career Coach Wilmesherr has authored numerous articles on various aspects of offensive line play, as well as wrote a book titled: "Living in the Trenches: Offensive Line Techniques and Fundamentals", which is in the process of getting published, along with 3 instructional videos. (1) from championship productions and (2) from coaches choice. He has been invited to speak at numerous clinics on offensive line play throughout the years.
Ken is a long time resident of the South County with his wife Denise. Wilmesherr is currently a substitute teach in the Sweetwater Union District. He has been coaching at the Junior College level for 16 years. This is his third tour of duty coaching at Southwestern College. Prior to coming to Southwestern he spent 10 years at Grossmont College.
