George Jackson started his Professional coaching career with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL as an intern for legendary Coach Dennis "Denny" Green. He was asked to return for a second season to hold such titles as Defensive Assistant to Defensive Coordinator & Special Teams coach (Martin Bayless), Assistant Defensive line coach to (Carl "Big Daddy" Hairston), Player Personal Assistant to (Robert Griffith), and Quality Control. He joined coach Dick Vermeil staff in 2012 to coach in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The staff was asked to return for the 2013 and 2014 games were they went 3-0., Mike Martz took over coaching national team in 2015, which he asked George to join his staff, and that allowed him to continue his winning ways.
Prior to joining the UFL ranks, George worked at Southwestern College in San Diego, CA where he coached Offensive Line 2008, Running Backs from 2009-2010. He returned to the Jag's 2013 to coach Slot Receives and was promoted in 2014 to Special Teams Assistant and Defensive Line in 2015. While coaching at SWC, Jackson helped take the Jag's to their 3rd conference title and 3rd straight bowl game victory. He is currently the F.C.A. (Fellowship for Christian Athletes) huddle leader there.
Before his stint with the Jaguars, George coached at Grossmont College in El Cajon, CA 2005, where he coached running backs and in his very first season at Griffin's the team won there only JC National Championship Title.
His overall record as an assistant coach is 192-45 with an 81.01 winning percentage in 7 stops.
A native of Flint, Michigan, George studied at Lincoln High School in San Diego then went on to the University of Michigan. After suffering a knew injury he returned home to attend Grossmont College. As a single father, he decided to take an environmental inter-ship with the city of San Diego becoming an environmentalist. While working for the city of San Diego, George started coaching in 1997 at his Alma meter.
George is a Father to his two beautiful daughter's Teairah and Tionna, living in the suburban San Diego area.
